Monique Jaques is a photojournalist based in Istanbul, Turkey where she is focused on photographing in the Middle East as well as Central Asia.

Hailing from New York and a product of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, she received the 2008 Honorable Mention for the New York Photo Awards Student Award. Currently her clients are The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, The International Herald Tribune, and EurasiaNet.

Her goal in life is to one day be 5'3.
